Tropical Building Systems only uses clear grained, first quality hardwood timbers that are of high strength and are termite resistant.

We primarily use Bangkirai for structure.

We use generally use Merbau for joinery and flooring as it is more stable and handles kiln drying better. We do however, use Merbau for structure on clients request

We mill our own timber from logs using a wonderful invention, the LucasMill. This gives us the opportunity to maximise log yield and minimize timber costs. We can cut up to 8 meter (24 ft)  long timbers.
